Safer Internet Day 2020

Safer Internet Day (SID) is an EU wide initiative to promote a safer internet for all users, especially young people. It is promoted in Ireland by the PDST Technology in Education and Webwise.

A series of videos on internet safety addressing a range of topics for both primary and post-primary level.

Post-Primary Videos

#BeInCtrl – A Short Film on Online Grooming from PDST Technology in Education on Vimeo.
Created to compliment the Be in Ctrl teaching resource, this video depicts the stories of two teenagers subjected to online sexual coercion and extortion.
This short film (10 minutes) is based on a composite of real events developed by Europol. The film depicts the story of two teenagers, Anna and George, who become victims of online coercion and exploitation.
For Your Eyes Only addresses the topic of non-consensual image-sharing among teens.
