YWIT highlights mental health supports offered by organisation
Information regarding a mental health query, concern or crisis:
Youth Work Ireland Tipperary is a Health Promoting organisation and delivers programmes and services under the 5 Health Promotion Strands: Emotional and Mental Health, Social Health, Sexual Health, Spiritual Health and Physical Health.
Under Emotional and Mental Health we provide a range of supports in the areas of resilience, mindfulness, early intervention and programme delivery for young people, and also provide a referral pathway to experts in the area. If you are concerned about someone, or feel that they may need extra support, we can help by providing a listening ear and a signpost in the right direction for additional support.
If you have immediate concerns about anyone then the first point of contact is always their GP.
Caredoc is the after hours GP service and can be reached on 1850 334 999.
The Emergency Department in South Tipperary General Hospital is another option for those with mental health difficulties.
The Samaritans can be contacted on 116 123, email jo@samaritans.ie or text 087 260 9090
Pieta House’s contact details are: 1800 247 247, text 51444.
